About Curl for SickKids
The Hospital for Sick Children is pleased to announce the "Curl For SickKids" Bonspiel. This celebrity event is to be held the week of
June 7 - June 10, 2007. This charity event is designed to raise research funds for the Hospital. Curl for SickKids is more than a fund raising curling bonspiel though, it's also a golf tournament and a party over four days.
We will be bringing twenty (20) skips from various locations to lead the bonspiel. All participants will either pick a celebrity skip or be selected by a celebrity skip. All participants will be picked at the friday night party and will have the opportunity to rub elbows (or beers) with all the skips present
Whether you curl at a high level or have just started with the game, this event will appeal to all. The fun, camaraderie and most importantly, the support you will be showing for the Hospital, is what the bonspiel is all about. All people are encouraged to participate, either as a player, patron or volunteer.
There will be several opportunities during the weekend to participate in fund raising activities. It could be the auction, the Calcutta, perhaps the raffle. Most importantly, we are asking all participants to raise donations for the Hospital for Sick Children. All donations will be tax deductible and receipts will be issued by the Hospital.
